In mid-May, check out a great magazine called Jazz Improv which comes out quarterly. Pat Metheny cover story. It's a quality music "book" with lots of text and information. I wrote a 4 page article for this issue about the Chapman Stick. Also included will be a transcript of my tune "Tap Dance" (thanks Chris Crain). To top it off, the magazine comes with a CD sampler and "Tap Dance" will be included. Pat Metheny will have 2 tunes on the same CD as well as 10 other guitarists. www.jazzimprov.com

Just confirmed today, a quartet version of my group The Sticktet, will appear at the Hilltop Jazz and Blues show opening for Stanley Jordan and Spyro Gyra on June 26 at the Brookhaven Amphitheater in Brookhaven, NY (Long Island).

Early July brings me to Montreal Jazz Festival for performance and teaching seminar organized by Mitch Polgar.

September Long Beach Jazz Festival, which I'm producing, will announce it's schedule at the end of June.

I also look forward to the release of guitarist Dean Brown's latest CD, this summer. My pleasure to add some Stick parts to this recording. Dean has played with everyone from David Sanborn and Marcus Miller to Billy Cobham and Roberta Flack and so on.
