This Friday, Feb.5, I have a new special trio coming to FADA in Brooklyn. Carl Roa on guitar and Nydia Mata on percussion will join me.
Had a wonderful weekend teaching the 7th Stick seminar in Karlsruhe, Germany. Great duo gig at Lindenbrau with a super drummer, Moritz Mueller. FUN.
NAMM show was great. Playing for Monte Montgomery and George Benson was a treat. Hung with George for a bit and chatted about Les Paul. Lotsa' demos at various booths, met many old friends. Quick annual jam hit with Jeff Berlin and Danny Gottlieb at Cort booth. Fun time.

Been playing the half-fretless almost exclusively. It's a wonderful instrument. Big thanks to Emmett Chapman for his craftmanship and vision.

A feature story/interview of Emmett Chapman and The Stick, that I authored, is now available in Guitar Player magazine's December 2009 issue (Les Paul cover). Very exciting.
The 7th annual Long Beach Jazz Fest was a total smash hit. Overflow crowds and tremendous music made it the best ever. Thanks to everyone.
We just had our first meeting concerning 2010's event. New ideas are emerging.
